Info:

The submitted project is a contemporary extension and rebuilding of the Stockerhof, a farm with a wide view over the Bruneck valley basin.

With the mezzanine built into the terrain, the new residential house towers together with the 2 apartments out of a green meadow. The special features of the project are on the one side the exclusive location and on the other side the combination of old and new. This harmonious combination gives the ensemble a unique character. The dark casing is reminiscent of the burnt wood of the barn and transmits a coherent entity. It is the ideal place to relax in the middle of pure nature.

Jury Opinion:

The new Stockerhof is an example for the ideal combination of tradition and modern trends in rural areas. In the midst of a picturesque landscape, the harmonious contrasts of old and new give the ensemble a unique character. The new residential home offers the farmer’s family and its guests energy efficiency and comfortable living at its best.
